You are probably providing the same information on the resume you submitted, but making sure you provide a neat, hand-written application proves that you can follow directions and pay attention to details.

Don't be afraid to send your resume to companies that are not currently hiring, but you are really interested in. Following up is key, as it shows that you are serious. Better yet, go in person! If your persistence stands out to them, they might tell you of a position before it is even posted.
